Elgin Rotary's 10th Bell's Marafun

is a city centre relay marathon with

120 teams of 5 runners completing the 26 miles.

There will be a primary schools race and lots of stalls and entertainment in the city centre.

Please join us to make this year's 10th Marafun another winner.

The 10th Bell's Rotary Marafun is gone but not forgotten!

On the 7th of June the rain stopped, the sun came out and so did the spectators to support the competitors, stallholders and charities. Thanks to all who helped to make the day such a success.

The winners were Aberdeen Uni Old Guns in a new record time of 2:16:13 followed by Keith Builders Merchants, Keith & District AAC and Moray Road Runners, the former course record holders.

History

Held every 2 years since 1991, Marafun has helped raise over £500,000 for local charities.

The course record is 2hr 16min 13sec set by Aberdeen Uni Old Guns this year (2009) beating the old record of 2hr 19min 01sec set by Moray Roadrunners.

Exhibition

To celebrate Elgin Rotary Club's 10th Marafun an exhibition of photographs. videos and memorabilia of past events is on display in Elgin Library.
